Email support@getpartsnap.com. That address is read by a person, and it’s the fastest way to reach us for anything: a bug, a feature request, a billing question, or a request to access or delete your data.
If you’re reporting a problem, these details let us reproduce it instead of guessing:
- What you were trying to do, and what happened instead.
- The product URL, if a link didn’t import correctly.
- Whether you were on the website or the iOS app.
- On iOS: your device model and iOS version.
Common questions
Which retailers can PartSnap read?
We tune extraction specifically for Home Depot, Lowe’s, Wayfair, Build.com, Ferguson, Joss & Main, Overstock / Bed Bath & Beyond, and IKEA. Links from other retailers usually work too — we read the page the same way — you just may see fewer of the detailed spec fields. If a retailer you use often comes back thin, email us the link and we’ll take a look.
A product imported, but some specs are missing
PartSnap only records what it can actually find on the product page — it will never guess or round a rough-in dimension, because a guessed spec is worse than a blank one. If the retailer doesn’t publish a value, or buries it in a PDF we couldn’t reach, the field stays empty and you can fill it in by hand. Products we’re unsure about are flagged for review so you know to double-check them.
Always confirm price, availability, and install-critical dimensions with the retailer before you buy.
Scanning a barcode says it can’t find the product
The scanner reads the barcode on your device, then looks that number up to find a product page at a retailer we support. Some in-store items — especially store-brand or clearance SKUs — aren’t listed online under that barcode. When that happens, paste the product’s URL into the Parts tab instead and you’ll get the same result.
What’s a guest account?
You can use PartSnap without signing up — tap Continue as guest and you get full access immediately. A guest account holds your projects but has no email or password attached to it.
Because there’s no password, there is no way to sign back in to a guest account once you sign out, and it only exists on the device you created it on. Tap Create account in Settings whenever you want to keep your work — your existing projects carry over to the new account.
How do I delete my account?
In the iOS app: Settings → Delete account. On the web: the Accountpage. Deletion is immediate and permanent — your projects, saved products, rooms, floor plans, and messages are all removed, and it can’t be undone. If you’d rather we do it for you, email us.
I forgot my password
Use Forgot passwordon the sign-in screen and we’ll email you a reset link. If you originally signed in with Apple, Google, or Pinterest, there’s no password to reset — use that same button again.
Camera, microphone, and notification permissions
Every one of these is optional, and the whole app works without them. The camera is used only to decode a barcode; the microphone and speech recognition only while voice mode is running; notifications only to tell you when a product you saved has finished processing. You can grant or revoke any of them at any time in iOS Settings → PartSnap.
How do I get my parts out of PartSnap?
From the Spec Book tab you can generate a spec book as a spreadsheet (.xlsx) or a plain parts list (.csv), then send it anywhere with the iOS share sheet. On the web there’s also a printable spec book.
Text messages
SMS is optional and opt-in — you opt in by linking your own mobile number to your account. Reply STOP to any message to opt out, or HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply. You can also unlink your number from your account at any time.
